Our History.
Starting with only one truck and a philosophy to innovate rather than imitate, James “Jack” Russo began moving metals around the Detroit, Michigan marketplace with a desire to speed delivery times and reduce waste and cost.
With the advent of Just In Time warehousing for the automotive industry, yet unproven rail to market potential and outdated truck technology Jack and his family took it upon themselves to reinvent how steel could be delivered through unconventional ways at the end of the 1980’s.
Jack’s dreams and successes continue to be the cornerstone of how the flatbed transportation and dedicated warehousing industry operates today.

Our Mission.
SteelPro provides professional and quality transportation and warehousing services to the entire metals industry including steel providers, service centers, processors and OEM’s.
Inventory management, dedicated hi-volume rail served warehouses, state of the art trucking equipment and people who speak “steel” all come together to meet and exceed customer satisfaction.
Our expertise comes from a combined effort of two generations that bring a history of hard work, dedication and an overall customer focused operational plan.
We continually strive to improve our service levels to help our customers succeed in an already tough business environment.
